I think that might be the contract extension ripped up.
Shame if that was the last game of his career, let alone for us. _________________ "United's success has generated its wealth; City's wealth has generated its success. Anything else is just piss and wind."

He'll be out for the season, but the guy will very unlikely leave unless it's to go to a club with a better chance of winning the one major honour he doesn't have... a champions league medal, assuming we qualify of course.
He came to us to win. I doubt he'll want to leave before completing the job. He will see that as a personal failure, IMO. |

i would hope the club would look after him even though his contract was up in the summer. i fear though that after all his career this could be the end . if its as serious as the reports are he might not be aboe to come back fully 100% or even 75% from the injury |

Why should the club look after him? He's on huge wages and if he's not likely to be fit for the next 9 months, if it's a cruciate rupture, then it is what it is. He's done a bit of the "will he / won't he sign" job on the club, if it's a long term injury then it's bitten him on the arse. I'm sure the club will get him fit again, but he needs to prove that at 36 he can recover from a career threatening injury.
We will be better without him. Rashford is being held back, as is Martial. Time to move on imho. _________________ Nic... I dare say you could kick everyone's arse on Mastermind with United as your specialist subject.... Pedantic wank-wipe. |

on the pitch I have not always been impressed , as one or two of you have reminded me, his goals carried us for a while, but it's always been my belief that a top striker would have scored those goals and got /done more as well.
his contribution off the field may well prove to have been immense, and his interviews and attitude have been total class, the guys ego is the stuff of legends, one to tell the grand kids about in years to come. The ABU's hated him because they fucking loved the shit he came out with, they just couldn't admit it.
it would have been nice to have him available for the final games, and if dreams came true "score the winner in the Europa league final in his home country " and bow out ... but this looks unlikely .
as for "looking after him " , I think financially he will be just about able to manage ......
so it would seem his time here is up, and a bit like when Henrik Larrson played for us, older player one last hurrah,, he came, he impressed , he gave us lots to remember him by and he left.
good luck to him. _________________ People say I'm condescending. That means i talk down to people |
