I've run out of adjectives to describe my disappointment this season.

What the fuck has happened to us? It looks like we wasn't missing Pogba after all. We've been no better with him in the side...

I've been supportive of Jose, and still think it would be wrong to sack him etc but we are starting to get a run of games and performances together that remind me of us under LVG. Im concerned he is losing the dressing room. When you look at Jose's body language he looks a beaten man. He doesn't exactly inspire belief. I think the players, and maybe some supporters are feeding off this. Ok, we showed great determination to get back into the game but that's about it. It's no good closing the door after the horse has bolted.

Lingard is looking like our best player right now. I don't know if that's 'coz he's improved or everyone else playing so poor they've made him look good?

I hope we take advantage of the transfer window. We need a freshen up. Having said that, where do we strengthen? I'm not convinced any area of the pitch is particularly strong. Lots of potential, but we are like a Ferrari driving on 4 flat tyres.

Cob, you a brave man questioning Ibra Wink . But it must be said, since his 'return' we seem to have gone backwards. Coincidence? Perhaps. Or have we adapted to accommodate his return to 'full' fitness? And your comment on the 6 second goalkeeper rule, I counted 14/15 seconds on about 5 occasions (and I was generous with my counting). It might not mean we win the game but the time wasting causes a lot of frustration which must effect the players.

Happy fucking new year Evil or Very Mad

We were punished for conceding free kicks in dangerous areas and with the help of the crowd we showed great character to claw it back.

Burnley are a fucking horrible team to play against, as some big scalps have found out. José was brave with his substitutions and it paid off - particularly in the case of Lingard.

I don't feel as pissed off as against Leicester.

It's because of the Leicester result and that at Bristol city that makes today's result worse. It's the same problems, time and time again.

Defending balls into the box, finishing, ball retention, simple passing... you can have bad games, today could be one of those days, but the fact we have been repeating these errors for weeks, back to the Arsenal game if I remember correctly..

Second in the league when no one (realistically or seemingly) able to catch Ciddy, players able to pull a draw out of a shit performance,a manager who is not an apologist and is happy to say ‘show some goddamn respect’. Dire times indeed.

Jesus Christ people! The game-to-game oscillation on this board is like living with someone who is part Ren and part Stimpy, part spongebob and part Eeyore. It’s exhausting.

I thought the moaning v Leicester was well ott but it certainly is today. There was a lot of good stuff today and yes we conceded a poor first goal with yet another reorganised defence but there was an element of bad luck as Rojo had got himself in front of Hendricks.

We came back strongly and the finishing was less profligate than against the Foxes. I feel sure we will start putting the goals away again when we get the defence settled and the forwards find their boots. Maybe others will start to dry up as we get a bit of a run going,

Too many on here expect too much. You're fooled by the money. Pogba isn't a £90m player nor is Luka. These are maybe £30m players whose values have been hyped up by a bull market fuelled by a few lunatic gamblers. These guys are going to come good, though, and Jose is the right coach to get the best out of them.

Only difference I would have made today is have Martial there. I hope he wasn't being "punished" for his miss mid-week but I suspect he was carrying a knock. His work down the left in the last 30 would have wrought havoc with that defence.

Burnley got lucky today and we are going through a period where we don't get much in the way of breaks. Nothing much more than that other than the belief that those prices mean we've signed a couple of super-heroes.

We're in a rut of form, there's no question about it. We've won 2 of the last 5 and we could have easily lost or drawn both of those as well.

To get out of it, we need to play the best players (or at least those in best form) in their best positions using our best formation.

Rotation is all well and good when confidence is high, momentum is with us and opposition teams are beaten in the tunnel.

Neither of those 3 apply at the moment so we're just going to have to play out of this and the best chance we've got is by playing our best team.

Fuck knows what it looks like right now with Mourinho's political games with his own squad, but objectively on form alone it definitely doesn't include players like Rojo, Ibra, Smalling, Herrera and arguably Lukaku right now.

At half time Ibra came off but to be fair both Ibra and Lukaku could've come off quite easily. Jose seems to have an aversion to Rashford in the middle, but the kid can play. His shooting is cleaner than Lukaku's, he can trap a ball to within 3 yards of his foot and he can beat a man - all very basic things that Lukaku is incapable of in his current form.

At the moment it doesn't look like Lukaku knows what day of the week it is. We need to bring players who are low on confidence into a winning team...they're simply not going to lift a losing team themselves.

Whether we like it or not, Mourinho has lost a lot of the edge that made him who he was back in the Chelsea days. The fire, hunger and motivation isn't there, but there is no better option right now. That said, the closest he's ever going to get to being the version of Mourinho that wins trophies is if the team give him a lift. He's just not self motivated right now.

Talking about childish defending, shit goals, not having spent enough etc - it's all balls. It's sideshow, and nobody is buying his media deflection tactics anymore either.

Top 4 at the end of the season? Bite anybody's hand off that offers that to us, and regroup for 18/19.

Happy New Year.

We’re not in poor form, we could and should have won the last two games by 5 clear goals. We are defending poorly, really poorly, and we’re finishing poorly, really poorly. We need to steady the defence a little, get back to basics but we’re not struggling, we’re just not doing the job that’s needed.

We’re 2nd in the league on merit, we’ve lost 3 games. Talk of regrouping for next season is a bit premature I feel, plenty to play for this season. We’d have been challenging in any past season, cap doffed to City for being exceptional this season.

What’s this nonsense about Jose losing desire since Chelsea? He did all right at Inter, Real and Chelsea part two didn’t he? Plenty of trophies, no? He’s also bagged us 2 major trophies last season, with 2 others to play for this season.

Agreed. I thought we have played better football, entertaining football in the last few games, and have been unlucky, and have not put our chances away.
Second in the league which some are saying we are shite is a little bewildering to me.
