so it appears what we’ve all known from the start of City’s meteoric rise in financial growth that it’s simply the owner funnelling cash through companies his family owns to make City compliant with FFP and legal business practices. Will be interesting to see this one play out. I’m sure you’ll cite the cosy-cartel as responsible, rather than a corrupt middle-eastern state, but at least those 20,000 boycotters that leave their seats empty for most games are on the right side of history Laughing

I’m sure there will more heat than illumination, as is the norm where the football authorities are concerned. I’m just disappointed for the 30k tashed-up Berts that turn up for those big European nights at the Council House, they’ll be crying into their laser-blue tea towels.

What strikes me the most is that none of the city fans i meet, hear or read about says something like "Yes, I know it's fucked up and it makes me really sad, but I just can't quit my team..."

They all just pretend like it's the norm or point the finger at someone else.

No, it's poor Bayern Munich that are the victims. Them and that fat, tax cheating cunt

The reason the PL is so rich is because it has competition and doesn't have one club that takes all the TV money and all the players. Might as well be Celtic.... Wink

2007–08 Bayern Munich
2008–09 2nd
2009–10 Bayern Munich
2010–11 3rd
2011–12 2nd
2012–13 Bayern Munich
2013–14 Bayern Munich
2014–15 Bayern Munich

2016–17 Bayern Munich

That's a preposterously simplistic view of German football.

The German league currently has the 2nd highest rights deal for TV coverage and prior to the most recent Premier League deal it was the highest, when they renegotiate it's almost 100% nailed on that they will over take and become the highest again.

The reason Bayern are rich is because like all big clubs, Juve', Utd, Real etc they have a global fan base. I was in Munich 2 weeks ago and met a group of Chinese fans that had travelled to go on the stadium tour.

They have huge quantities of fans across Germany, again like the big clubs I mentioned.

The one thing they don't do is fleece the fuck out of the fan base to watch the football so they won't generate anything like the average mid table English club does from match day revenue because it's only €180 for a season ticket. West ham charge 10 times that much for what....the pre-match bubble display?

The premier league is rich because it's fucking scamming fans whilst pimping it's arse to S Korean tractor manufacturers and Indian teeth whitening companies to become regional brand partners. The Germans have class.

Yes Uli broke the law but German tax laws are unbelievably complicated (part of the federal system dontcha know) and he certainly isn't alone in falling foul of that system. It doesn't detract from the fact that your human rights abusing oil money spending shit nugget owners are bang at it breaking the law to fund a part time hobby that is nothing more than a rich mans virtual reality version of championship manager. Enjoy it whilst it lasts, it's all fake, you are and always will be in Uniteds shadow, put a big coat on, it must be chilly.

Bayern (as champions) get about 400% more TV money than the bottom club

City (as champions) get about 50% more TV money than the bottom club

That’s very nice for them, I assume it’s legal and above board, unlike the accounting practices going on at your place. Whatever Bayern do it doesn’t mean your club is any less corrupt.

Defender of major human rights abusers points finger at someone for dodging tax.

Something about the dark hues of pots and kettles. Can't for the life of me remember how it goes.

Regardless, I'm sure the real victims of Shinawatra and the people living in leisure in Abu Dhabi's prisons are all just concoctions of the City's constant European failure and Nic's constant excuses.
