Awful. Just awful. Reading the medic report he was pretty much a goner as soon as he hit the deck. Poor guy.

You wonder how Abbott will ever be able to bowl again after this.

Growing up I always thought cricket was a game for those who can't hack a 'real mans game' until my mate, who I thought was a soft twat, said don't judge the game until you have tried playing it. Being a cocky little fucker I agreed to play a game for his team. The moment that ball was bowled at me it dawned on me how nuts these blokes are. Even with protective gear, when that ball hits you, it hurts.

Ill be honest, I do not know a lot about Phil Hughes. What I do know is, after playing the game and experiencing it myself I will never again question the 'manliness' of the game.
