No reverse psychology, no glass half full/empty bullshit
Personally I am hoping that with Ibro missing their defence may be a tad confident and we capitalise. But my fear is our defence, far too often they start playing after a goal down or 10 minutes of pressure. Phil Jones needs to play like life depends on it and Rojo, if picked, needs to understand if you keep fouling and making late tackes you will cost us the game. If Carrick plays has a blinder and Pogba has his passing head on this will also add to my confidence.

If all players picked aren't switched on from the first minute, playing 100%, some 110%, and thinking like they play for the World's biggest club will will get royally fucked.
Finally if Failani is picked I will pick up bottle of Whistle pig and go find a grassy hill and get royally runied

We will lose. We always lose at Stamford Bridge. This isn't some board jinx tactic - we're just pathetic when we play this scabby lot away.

At least we won't have to suffer a defeat at Wembley after our hope and expectations have been built up.

Fellini deserves a break (and I don't mean a bone), he was our best player in Rostov and his excellent work for our goal has gone practically unnoticed.

I don't fancy Carrick's chances with Kante snapping around him either.

Maybe a time to gamble?
Play a narrow midfield 4 of Pogba, Herrera, Fellaini and Mata with Rashford and Martial given a free licence up top. That'll give Chelsea's defence something to think about.

This is also the time when I expect JM to get the preparations and team mindset right.

-With the players he has available,
-the memory of a 4-0 shafting a few months back
- and recognition that a top 4 place will have to be fought for tooth and nail so the FA Cup is the prize to grab

I think Jose will go and park the bus, play 4-5-1 with Rooney alone upfront, but spending most of his time chasing back.
hoping we can hit them on the counter.
I think he will take a draw and a reply , despite the fixture congestion,
but hope to snatch a winner.
it wont be pretty either way but I'd gladly take it.

if we try play open attacking football they will beat us, this season they're better than us, in fact they're better than everyone.

Unfortunately, not an option. No more replays from the quarter-finals onwards. It's all or nothing at Stamford Bridge.

He might put Young up front like LVG did at Spurs that time! Shocked

I read that yesterday and thought back to the days when managers would say players were injured, and then they'd make miraculous recoveries and play Wink

I may be clutching at straws ...........
