To all the doomsayers, it's taken until 13th March for United to be completely eliminated from a competition they could win this season. Reasons to be cheerful.

Thought the lads did good, but WTF happened to Rojo. The man was getting stuck in, playing out of his skin, and at one point was running to close down their goal .

Two top defenders, and a young top forward , and clear out some dead wood.

If the Beeb keep showing multi-angle replays of Rojo, they may get their wish of a retrospective red card for him. Strangely enough, they're a bit more reticent about Costa's two assaults on United players.

I'm pleased with our effort. The lads dug in and made it difficult, but that only makes the loss harder to take.

i've been a big critic of Rojo, but this season he has improved a lot, last night he was fucking immense, he played like and Old fashioned centre half and gave costa more than he got, he had the ugly cunt in his pocket most of the night.

once again a cracking match ruined by the ref wanting to be the "main man"

if every foul this weekend similar to either of Hereras is punished by a yellow card , I will sing "come on you reds "at half time on the pitch at old trafford naked. Rolling Eyes

Diego Costa is a cunt. Conte is a cunt. Chelsea are cunts. Michael Oliver is a cunt. The BBC are cunts. Everyone's a cunt, even me.

Rojo's always put the effort in, but just lacks footballing ability. He's looked a lot better under Mourinho - was decent last night - but he still aint good enough to warrant a place in any team with genuine title aspirations.

Another player who's impressed this season is Valencia. It looked like his United career was over a year or so ago, but is now by far the best full back in our team - despite being a winger for most of his career.

...which brings me to Darmian. What does he actually do? What are his supposed strengths? He seems alright when we're on the back foot, but offers virtually nothing going the other way. I can't remember the last time a 'defensive' full back became a regular in a Manchester United team, and with good reason.

As for Herrera, he's been very lucky not to have been sent off more times this season for similar niggly dirty stuff, so he can't really complain. Shame for us though, cos it killed any chances we had.

I really hope Herrera learns from last night. Both offences hardly warranted a yellow card, but his timing couldn't have been worse.
More worrying, is that Jose seems to be happy to play Jones. He got out of jail on several occasions by pure luck. He's a great clumsy oaf, nothing more, nothing less.
Pogba? I really don't know, he should be looking at that display from Kante and asking himself a few questions.

On the positive side...
Rojo was immense, he actually bullied Costa throughout, even finding time to give him the occasional 'jab'. Pity he'll get a retrospective red card.
Rashford, Young, Fellaini and Valencia worked their bollocks off and deserve loads of credit.

Roll on Thursday

watch Pogbas effort to challenge kante when he score their goal.

fucking pathetic, he gives him 3 yards and makes fuck all effort to block it, he then looks like he screams in annoyance at DeGea when it goes in,

he's becoming the new Nani in my eyes..

On Rojo, he has looked shit, but he has also not had a settled position nor has he had a settled CB partnership.

Last night he was a beast. Very few defenders can go toe to toe with Costa and win. He was up for the fight, I'd go as far as say he even had the bottle to look for it. Considering his huge improvement I'd like us to stick with him.

The 'stamp', a case for the defence; Rojo was trying to place his foot to the side of Hazard. When Rojo made the initial movement to place his foot down it was done before Hazard started his roll. It does look bad on the slow-mo, but in real time you can see he has little time to react. Infact, if Hazard wasn't a diving cunt who likes to roll around like he has been hit by Jose's bus, which was well and truly parked so is completly innocent of any wrong doing (the ABU's will still demand retrospective action though) the incident wouldn't have even happened.

Come now, that title is Martial's to lose. Very Happy

But I did note said failure to close down Kante. As a mate texted me after, "Kante cost one third what Pogba did but looks three times the player." That's a bit harsh but he does have a point: Pogba's been criminally average recently.

it's interesting though isn't it.

jose bought pogba and therefore gives him nothing but praise.
he didn't buy Martial , so seems to choose to give him constant challenges and thinly veiled criticism .

I aint attacking jose, last night his tactics and team selection were superb, with the benefit of hindsight , I feel we would have got a result had it not been for a weak referee, but the "Pogba is untouchable" love in, needs to be addressed ..

jose has this strange attitude where he will openly chastise certain players, and yet others , who we all agree need a right good fucking get nothing but praise.

imagine being in the squad, you try your best and get constantly questioned, pogba for example, acts the play boy, doesn't do his job, disappears in games, and is then lauded as MOTM ??? Confused

Or, he knows that his perfomance has been shite and below par; instead of laying him to him like every other fucking so-called pundit, he does the opposite hoping for a positive reaction and not bruising his ego. Who'd be a manager, eh Wink
