I know it's not really the "top red" thing to do and all but neither is a loss to anyone that plays in the top 6 of the Championship or above.

Both are rated well, well beyond their ability, both have been injury prone for their entire Utd career, neither really deserves to be playing international football and I hope very much that both will be gone by next August.

what I was alluding to. We'd be far better off choosing our central defence from Bailly, Rojo, Blind and Fosu-Mensa

It's beginning to transpire that LVG's legacy won't just be selling Welbeck, Di Maria & Chicharito, but Michael Keane as well. And keeping Blackett & McNair ahead of Keane!!

He looks an infinitely better defender than Smalling
