He's orff.

Surprised it's a free transfer when it is supposedly nothing to do with the Lukaku deal. Plus we may be paying his wage difference?

Madness.

Not arsed. He's of no use to us, and at least he might give the toothless toffees some bite in their 'friendly' derbies against the vermin.

You can have Lukaku for £75M (plus £15M add ons)

Or you can have Lukaku for £85M (plus £15M add ons) and we'll take Wazza

I'm not sure about theatre, it sounds like the pantomimes that Kenwright works in Wink

I will always be greatful of his contribution to the club and, for a long time, was a vital cog in the wheel in one of the best squads the club will ever have......

...but...

The fact we are having to pay him off leaves a very bitter taste in the mouth. Since signing the most recent contract he has been on a rapid decline. Every time he threw his toys out the pram we have paid up.. the only player in my memory that managed to become bigger than the club.

Perhaps im being idealistic but hè has earned plenty of money in his time. He should accept he is on the decline and take the hit on his wages as a result. Instead he effectively forces us to pay him to leave us.

Fergie set up an open goal for Moyes to ship out a player on a rapid decline and what did he do... gave him a 5 year contract on 250k a week!

Sums Dithering Dave up really

I think it more than churlish to argue with his achievements in a 13 year career. He was always an Evertonian at heart and no one really doubted that but he gave plenty to the United cause.

I doubt SAF would have been right to let him go in 2010 but after 2012 his days were numbered.I feel he still has something left and perhaps needs a new challenge to give himself an Indian summer. Everton is right for him and we move on as we did post Hughesy, Eric, Cole, Yorke, Beckham, Ruud, Scholesy, Giggsy, RVP. The list goes on.

One can accuse him of being extremely selfish to take advantage of the Moyes appointment but it would have been an act of superhuman humility for him to say: I don't deserve it, sign a more deserving player instead. Or, Mr. Glazer, why don't you take an extra dividend, sir!

Let's get real!

if the police had not stopped him, there can be no doubt he would have gone back with her, had intercourse with her, then she would have sold her story ,and he would have been in an absolute hellish position with his wife, divorce a hefty legal bill and settlement around £30 million would surely have followed.

as it is, he will likely receive a 2 year ban , a £2000 fine, he will employ a driver for 2 years at a cost of around £200 k total,

and he will no doubt get a proper telling off from his wife . Very Happy

the officer of the law that stopped him, saved him a fucking fortune... Wink

To think, the lad was arguably further ahead of Ronaldo when they first played together at United.

Rooney's lack of professionalism application to looking after himself and staying out of trouble like this is why we'll probably always bemoan what could have been - despite all the records he'll take with him when he retires.

Never as good as he could have been.

How many trophies has he won ?

How much money has he made?
