Tough game that. They are pretty good defensively. Even city (ya' know, the team that's won the league 8 times this season and the best team that ever existed) struggled to break them down, so we can't have to many complaints.

Smalling and Lindelof together is a disaster waiting to happen. I have very little trust in either of them.

Have to admit, although I was calling for Rashford and Martial to be on the pitch together, it hasn't been as impressive as I'd expected.

Rashford seems to have developed a habit of giving the ball away quite a lot, hopefully it's just a blip.

More worrying, Mata has contributed practically zero in all of his appearances this season. Mkhitaryan and Herrera have been no better - thank fuck we signed Matic.

Forget the goal, Ashley Young was head and shoulders better than any other player on that pitch today.

Said last year too that we need to replace Smalling. All he does is grab hold of the players.

brighton were very organised and very good, a frustrating game, not unlike many last season, but this season we seem to be turning these into wins rather than draws.
good point on Ashley Young, he has been excellent .

smalling is an accident waiting to happen, sometimes he does something very good and you start to think he may be a good defender after all, then he'll do the simplest thing so badly you wonder if he's even a footballer at all !!!

linderolf was a lot better yesterday , but playing alongside Smalling isn't going to benefit him in any way whatsoever.

Being my local club I do have a soft spot for them and was pleased to see them get into the PL. There supporters though.. hypcricitcal cunts. I know at least 5 who went to the game, all of them supported a 'top 6 club' only a few seasons ago.

I like Hughton & they played well the other day but that constant small time unoriginal shite for an hour was annoying.
