interesting little stat for you.

arsenal go into today's game looking to make it 13 home wins in a row.
the last time they were in a similar position was in 2005 , and it was Chelsea under Jose that ended that particular sequence .

it's been a while since we won there , last season we had the europa league and were clearly not focused at Arsenal, this season we have some momentum and they are not formidible by any means
matic will be a loss, IF he fails to make the game but they will be without lacazzette which is a bigger loss for them.

we've shown what we can do against the Watfords and palaces and evertons and newcastles etc
it's time we turned up for a game against one of the "big boys" .
i'm not renowned for optimism ... Wink
but i cannot see us losing this Shocked

In theory they are an ideal opponent for us.

They'll want to attack, leaving space to exploit on the break. They are mentally and physically weak, and we are strong, physical and willing to knock them about a bit. And their supporters will look for any excuse to turn on the players/manager and their players can't handle that pressure.

I often think, when Jose is up against a manager he has no respect for, his teams often have an added edge to them and often dismantle the opposition with ease...

....that said, we will lose....

City & Chelsea with easy assignments... tough game for us I think. A draw probably likely but not much use. Hopefully our physicality will do the trick.

How did we get out of that?DDG was the difference, what a display.
Have gooners too much of the ball and lucky to survive the onslaught.
Need to tighten midfield, what was Pogba doing?
City will be licking their lips!

Good call that. An excellent game, we were positive from the start and then resolute when they got their act together. A great couple of away results, where I expected us to drop points.

Special mention for Young and Lingard, both of them have been outstanding.

What a fucking game.

Some of that defending was woeful, but equally fantastic (defending the build up play poor, the last ditch stuff, excellent). Up until the final whistle I never thought we'd keep our lead. Made the game entertaining though.

Our attacking, like at Watford, clinical! Getting a bit frustrated for Lukaku. Nothing seems to stick to him at the moment.

Is there anyway we can delay the Pogba ban by appealing the red? Personally I think it was harsh. No intent to injure, just stretching for the ball. Wink

I actuallly like what he did, a bit of bite back after the player clattered Young. OK getting a red is always limiting, but good to see one of our midfielders giving some back like Robbo, Keane or Scholes would have done.

That was the most insane fucking game we've had in a long time.

Mad chuffed after that. De Gea, Lingard, Martial, Young, all outstanding.

funny thing is - I thought we looked like scoring every time we went forward!

Our central defenders were magnificent, although they switched off just once and paid the price.
Difficult to single anyone in particular out for praise when everyone excelled.

Hopefully, the tactical genius that is David Moyes will conjure up a masterclass tomorrow.

I understand what you are saying, but he is without doubt one of our most important and influential players, and now he is out for three games; one of which is against our friends and neighbours who are all that, currently, stand between us and the title.

For the longer term good of the team it wasn't a good decision.

Anyone else notice all our headed clearances in the first half just went straight up in the air... weird!

Anyway... great performance & result, best United game I’ve watched since LVG’s only decent 4-6 week spell in March/April 2015.

So many great performances... Pogba though, he is an absolute beasht... We’re an infinitely better side with him in the team. Him beating Koscielny for Lingard’s second was like watching an aul lad taking the piss out of his son in the back garden

I've watch that Pogba red a few times and the more I see it, the less I am convinced it should be a red.

Pogba commits to the challenge before the arse player takes a knee. What can Pogba do to avoid the leg, with the little time he had to react? And if stretching/follow throughs are a straight red, why did Koscielny not see red for the header follow through on Matic? That could have caused serious injury.

Although id agree, everything should be done to rid the game of malice and reduce risk, giving red cards out because someone can't stop in time is the equivalent of putting in speed restrictions in F1.

when you get to the top level these guys know exactly what they are doing, Pogba left one on him, watch it slowly and he evens gives him a wack with his other foot for good measure. i agree with Chubby , you need a player like that in your side,
ok, he shouldn't get send off , but the fact pundits can't agree on if it was or wasn't a straight red indicates he may have got away with it. either way he will be missed at city,
we look like a title contender with Pogba, we looked like a top 6 side without him..

to say our defending was woeful is strange, when a side comes at you and has that many chances and so much possession as Arsenal did ,and you only conceded one goal, that's not woeful it's fucking brilliant, Linderolf has gone from Prunier to Stam in a few weeks...

i would say that's possibly the most exciting game in the last 4 years, and certainly our best away performance since Fergie , it reminded me of so many games in the distant past where we had gone and been ruthlessly efficient , Norwich when we went 3-0 up when they were a major side, Arsenal away in the champions league, and others i forget Embarassed

if mourinho keeps this up i may start to like him a bit

Very Happy Very Happy
