A debate I don't think we've had on here...

I consider him to be the best in the world. But, is he the best keeper we've ever had? If not, who and why?

He’s very, very good. Best ever? No, I’ve never seen a keeper as good as Schmikes, past or present.

Best goalkeeper to ever play for United, without a shadow of a doubt at this stage.

Shmeichel played in a far superior United side. Plus he’s an absolute cunt of the highest order. Would pay to see Keano knock him out again.

Never liked him, even before he cartwheeled in front of the bitters while they sang about Munich.

Regardless of how big a cunt Shmeichel is, DDG is definitely the better keeper.

Would benefit from a season on loan in the championship.

Speaking of Roy - imagine Guardiola pulling that stunt on Keane.... I'd pay money to see that unfold.

Massimo Taibi, Roy Carroll & Ricardo were hardly blessings either.

Schmeichel was as good a shot stopper but also commanded the box in a way that DDG doesn't. Both brilliant keepers and in their own time, both the best in the world but I've not seen a better keeper than Schmeichel at his peak, ever. And I've seen Banks, Jennings, Shilton, Buffon, Zoff and Casillas.
