used to be a fairly easy win when we played spurs away , but it's been a tricky fixture for us last few years and we lost the last 2 (if i remember correctly ?)

spurs (and arsenal) usually stat to wobble around January, (arsenal defeat to forest a case in point )

spurs seem to be sterner stuff nowadays so this will be a tricky one.

i hate optimism........it never ends well Embarassed

but i have a feeling we will win this one , 2-1 and sanchez will score Shocked Shocked

Spurs are a good team, we are a good team, we will get owned. 3-1 to Spurs and a red card our way.

Can't see us winning this.

Spurs are a decent team these days. Jose will park the bus and it will backfire.

Stuck a 5er on a draw and another 5er on a win.

Well, I'll imagine the £10 I'm going to lose is going to charity. Embarassed

I saw some light at the end of this tunnel of shite. Sanchez looked a handful and I saw the potential for him complementing what we currently have.

What really caused the damage was the huge hole Matic, Pogba, Smalling and Jones were apparently playing in. It affected our forward play as our attackers had to compensate.

Fair play to spurs. Far better team on the night. Not often I'll ever say that. Although at 2-0 we looked like getting back into it they got hold of the game and killed it.

On a side note, what the fuck happened with Fellaini? Shocked

Jones & Smalling were nervy as fuck, I think that spread through the team. I’m surprised Jose didn’t bring on Herrera or Fellaini sooner, we were clearly getting out-numbered in the middle. Spurs were up for it, and we conceded two horrible goals. Shit happens, move on.

I only saw the last 40 mins but it looked like the worst performance the team has put in for a long while. Was it all that bad??

Static, clueless, panicky, lacking any kind of confidence... We looked like a fucking scratch team out there.

And as unkeen on our manager as I am, you can't blame the bloke for Lukaku's touch of a rapist, Herrera's passing, our centre backs running around like headless chickens, etc.

Thank God for Bournemouth.

We played our best football of the night in the first twenty minutes. Even at 0-2, I fancied us to get something. The funniest thing was a Spurs mate of mine being more nervous (with his team 2 up) than I was.

Jones and Smaling were, predictably disastrous. But Pogba and Matic... Rolling Eyes

^^^

this

if you go out and look to attack, as i believe we did, the front minded players can only do so if they trust and have faith in the defence, we saw any trust ebb away with every spurs chance.
by half time our forward players knew they had to keep coming back ,or spurs would open us up, and so we lost any attacking initiative, and ended up with Lukaku being isolated again...

we know we're all playing for a top 4 spot as the title has gone, but still livid to see us be so ragged second half.

last season we went for 3 or 4 months unbeaten ,and then had a horrible period where we just stagnated, i'm returning to my usual pessimism , but i can't see us doing that this season.

Isn't it ironic that nic's arguments to city's lottery win and city's spending was that it gives small clubs a chance to join the 'elite' and will help close the gap. What it has done is created a new elite that even the biggest clubs in the world cannot compete with.

Give city/psg their own league and cup and let them play "who's got the biggest wallet" somewhere else
