Anyone been watching?

Looking at the stats (only thing I have to go on) it would appear it's the same old shite? Just four shots on target in these games? Are there many positives?

Not been watching them, never too bothered with friendlies and with so many players missing due to WC duties then I wasn’t expecting too much.

Plus, the timezone means they are on in the middle of the night.

I wouldn't be reading too much into this pre-season, it's after a WC and they tell you very little in any event.

Chong looks lightweight, but the talent is there. A. Perreira looks like he did the right thing forcing an extra year's loan away for playing time and should be fighting for a spot in our midfield. Grant Lee looks a capable backup to De Gea and probably will allow Romero to leave for more playing time elsewhere.

The rest has been dire. Yes its pre season, but you can see the lack of quality (Shaw, Darmian), the lack of good decision making (Martial, Sanchez), and the lack of speed/quality (Mata, Herrera). But most worrying has been the very slow buildup and dour tactics that were the mainstay of the second half of last season.

Its not got any better if tonight's match is anything to go by. 0 shots, 0 shots on target, 0 (maybe 1 ) shots off target. He set his team up to defend only. This is not Manchester United.
