I appreciate that this may be a somewhat outrè suggestion here but it seems that even the most patient Red agrees, we need to get rid of the prick. The sooner the better before he really kills any remaining morale or spirit within the team.

To do so, we need someone to take over. Someone with consistent top flight experience. Someone who has won things before and who could be a caretaker until we get someone to take over for a longer period. Ideally this someone should be available now. And I mean in time for corn flakes tomorrow.

Nope, I don't think it should be SAF. It would be insulting and beneath the dignity of the club and the great man himself.

If I was Woodward/the board, I'd take a gamble on Wenger.

Discuss/talk me out of this/tell me you'd rather hurt your penis.

I think we need some form of interim before a long term top down solution is designed.

I wouldn't object to Gary Neville or Olé.

I don't think Wenger is sufficiently attack minded for United, but we could do worse.

I don't think that the answer is Zidane as managing at Madrid is probably a totally different proposition to managing somewhere else.

I'd consider Sam Aladyce in the interim. Almost.

We are in a mess.

the thought of The legend that is Ole managing utd- turning this round- and becoming a success, is a thought we could all dream about.

sadly his time at Cardiff and Gary nevs horror in valencia should really rule them both out .

if it's short term then Maybe wenger isn't the worst call ever,

i mean fuck me can you imagine Jose "the special one" being replaced by the man he labelled "specialist in failure"

for me, if it's short term i would ask giggs, at least he knows the club and he has pretty much done anything there is within the game , possibly gary nev as assistant .

at this moment i would rather fred the red than jose Sad Embarassed

This popped in my head the other day as a possibility. Thought I'd lost the plot. Seems things have got that desperate that I wouldn't mind it happening.

After having a long, hard think and with the top 3 candidates being out of the question, zidane a non-starter as I can't see it working long term, I have my mind set on Giggs, at least until the end of the season and see how it goes.

This season is pretty much over already. What's the worst that could happen? Top four is out the question. We're kidding ourselves if we think CL is a possibility and the FA cup would just be a bonus.

What we should be focusing on is a structure in place at the club whereby a change in manager will not affect the success on the field, much like Bayern, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juve. They seem to be fit to change managers without any adverse consequences in the long term. Having to depend on a manager staying 10 years isn’t realistic these days.

I don’t really care who gets replaced - owners, directors, manager, coaches, players, tea ladies etc as long as the bullshit that has gone on since the start of the year does not continue. Whoever isn’t moving in the right direction for the good of the FOOTBALL CLUB can fuck off as far as I’m concerned.

Remember when Southampton fired their most successful manager and the fans were indignant, and they did better then next season and then they did it again shortly afterwards ? The interviewed the owner who, speaking, about the Manager said, he is just the head of a department and not a particularly important department. That is what TOFB is talking about achieving.

No thanks on Wenger, he is as much of a yesterday man as Jose appears to be.

We should model ourselves on Bayern or Barca, design a plan, execute against that with the best people available to achieve that end knowing that the plan needs to constantly evolve, in doing so the plan remains current and personnel can change but we have continuity.

At present there is no plan, other than throw money at it. We may get lucky and win a league or a champions league, but after 3 years we’d be back to square one.

At Molde The legend that is Ole won the league in his first year, they hadn't won it in 100 years or something. The won the league the next season. In his third year I think he won the cup.

He then left. Since he came back they have finished 6th, 5th, 2nd and are currently 3rd. He has a masters degree in sports science.

Give him the interim job at least.

0le is a romantic choice for obvious reasons, but I’m not sure going back to the future is what we need. We need a new plan, we need to move on from the ghost of glories past and create a new vision for what United should be. The SAF legacy is gone, time to create a new one.

Only if he brings Curbishley as his assistant and Pardew as director of football.

Let's be honest though, those three would do better than the Giggs / OGS / G Nev dream triumvirate Wink lest we forget this is the final year of Moyes's 6 year contract at United

BIG WIN needed tonight to resuscitate the corpse and keep José in place until at least the end of the season - hopefully much MUCH longer

Comedy football is back in Manchester Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

I want Jose to ride it out and stay put. There were plenty of times Fergie was in hot water.....1990 for example.
If I was to suggest a replacement I would take Carlos Queroz back....Woodward should go too....the club is being run to the tune of the moneymen and the press has too much influence as does social media.
