Terrible display.
Fellani our best player.
Can never defend against Peps style be it at Barca or City.
Outclassed and outplayed.
Shows what Sheiks money can buy.......

Our attackers were woeful. They way they kept handing the ball straight back to city was such a clear showing of how far we've fallen since the good ol' days it was painful to watch. On the other hand, I was expecting a proper hiding so at least the fear of what happened last season kept em at bay somewhat.

We've papered over some cracks recently but the gulf in class between us and the best was evident today - and playing squads were only a part of that. As a team who soaks up pressure we're hardly building to be Atletico when it comes to the counter attack: flatlining like this, scraping results here and there, is just prolonging our time in purgatory IMO.

Poor.

In a game where you expect to have to defend and hit on the break you have to go forward quickly, starting as high up the pitch as possible. At one point Lukaku was the player furthest forward and he was about 25 yards from the halfway line. You also have, time and time again, our midfield winning the ball triggering runs from the forwards and we turn sideways or backwards. Matic and Herrera were guilty of this every time they had the ball. And when you don't move the ball quickly against a high press you lose possession.

Just when you start building a bit of hope, we get brought down with a bump. Fighting spirit will get you so far, but it's a long way from where we want to be

Hardly an unexpected result given the team that we had out. Young, Smalling and Lindelof on their best days would have trouble with the City attackers, compounded by Shaw very much having an off day, we were always liable to concede a few.

Our midfield was set up to be as disruptive and industrious as possible, it was never likely that we would create much with the three of them on the pitch. Pogba was a big loss for any play that we had going forward.

Martial did what he could but ultimately was surrounded by a more tenacious City side and United players just not up to the task.

Let's be honest, it was men v boys, from start to finish in every single position. Not the biggest ever City derby win but probably the most one sided performance.

* After 12 mins we'd made 96 passes (and scored) v United's 6 passes

* 75% possession for City

* not a single shot on target for United (other than a gifted pen when he was going nowhere)

* Double the number of overall passes (44 of which led to the third superb teamwork goal)

There was not a single plus point for United really, and to hear Mourinho wank on about having hard games this week was as priceless as the look on Ferguson's face in the stands

This is what £1.75 billion looks like folks.

Their owners have spunked £1 billion in, our owners have robbed £0.75 billion out.

It's a bit like Mike Tyson punching a blind toddler.

They can have it
We are broken from top to bottom and headed no where
Rather they win the league than the scouse cunts
End of the day ive got zero respect for city and dont acknowledge anything they have achieved since the oil money came their way so if it stops the scouse cunts winning it... then happy days... sounds small time i know but thats where we are now and the vermin for me are still the main enemy.

^^ This ^^

Our competition isn't with City, the Dippers or anyone else - it's with ourselves. Until we have a proper plan, with underlying well thought out strategies to support that plan then we'll not compete with City, or anyone else for that matter. They are better both on and off the pitch at present but that's not permanent, just as our own plan and strategy wasn't permanent during the 90's and 00's. We didn't need to cook the books to con our way to the top, we still don't need to do that, we'll come again, but it will take time and it will take a plan. Even if we'd have had £0.75b to spend it would have been wasted I feel, we'd have thrown good money after bad.

I think Bournemouth are a better coached and better run club that we are at the moment. That is how far we have fallen.

Pepe has taken 7/10 players and mage them 10*/10 players and 6/10 players and make them 8.5/10 players. We haven't.

Can't agree with that assessment of the City players pre-Pep, the one's he's bought in were all players that a) could fit into the way he wanted to play and b) established stars in other teams and c) cost a fortune.

To suggest he works miracles in making them 30% better? Behave yourself, I'd expect that nonsense from the tashed-up statto cunt that's Nic. Rolling Eyes Laughing

That’s Pep’s entire career, getting by on a shoe string. Making do. Lol.

Sterling
Delph
Ottermendi
Fernandinho
De Bruyne
Silva
Aguero

All signed pre Pep all improved under him

And of course he’s brought in players to play his way, doesn’t every manager?

How are Pogba, Lindelof, Lukaku, Fred , Sanchez, Matic doing at the minute?

A bit churlish to suggest Pep isn’t an excellent coach & man manager right enough.
