there certainly doesn't seem to be a single red on here , or in fact any i know who believe Jose is anything other than done at utd

a matter of when he goes not if..

IF , as many feel it's left till we are eliminated from the champions league, then that means March 6th when we play the away leg .
unless we get that badly battered at home ? Embarassed Shocked even then it's late feb

so we have a transfer window to look forward to with a manager who we know will be leaving. Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

fuck me it'll be like the last days of hitler, jose in his bunker claiming he can still win or finish top 4, and sending out his men to be killed again and again..

presumebly not a penny will be spent , no one in his right mind would want to sign for us ? so what can we expect?

Martial leaving to Chelsea in a swap deal with Giroud ?

has Jose made one singing that even looks remotely like being of the class we need ??

whatever will be will be, but i imagine a january of more utter embarrassment
Mad

This has been going on of so long now I'm not sure there is anything new to add.

The season is a write off. We should've got rid a few weeks ago, around the game vs the barcodes, if not earlier, when it was clear how far we had fallen from last season. It would've given time to the new boss a chance to settle, work with players and find out what he needs going forward and give him a January window in which to do a bit of business. It would give us half a chance next season.

Apart from the costs of sacking Jose, there is no reason to drag anyone through this bullshit anymore. Even if that cost is £25m as quoted in the rags, I'm convinced a different manager would get this back just by delievering a vast improvement in the squad we have.

Sunday aside I find my self not giving a shit about our results. The sooner we get the bloke out the club the sooner we can start to look forward to watching united play again.

The Special One?

* £400M spent on players
* The highest average wage bill in the league
* The highest paid player in the PL (Sanchez)
* The 2 highest ever PL transfer fees
* 3 of the top 6 6 highest ever PL transfer fees
* Not a single player has improved under him
* Awful, negative football every match
* The worst ever start to a PL season
* Near the the bottom than the top after 17 games

and yet nothing is his fault

FOUR MORE YEARS! FOUR MORE YEARS!

Pity he's just been sacked - arf!! Sad Sad

My day, my month, my year, my life and my mood has certainly improved.

There was a knowing glance between SAF and Gill on Sunday, a shake of the head at what they were seeing. I thought there and then that Jose's time was up as I'd seen similar with LvG and Moyes.

Caretaker manager until the end of the season though? That essentially writes off this season I would imagine. The club should use the opportunity and the time to restructure the playing side of the club, from the boardroom level to the playing level. Only this way will a new manager / head coach have a chance to build something successful.

Thank fuck that's over!! Merry Christmas. Hope is restored. That's all I ask.

What I would say... on SSN it says "Carrick names acting interim manager" and a "New 'temporary' manager to be recruited in 48 hours". Sounds like the mess is continuing... just put Carrick in charge until a new permanent manager is available.

Wouldn't be surprised if Ed decided to do this because a sponsor turned him down.

Somehow - surprisingly - Ed has a chance to redeem himself here by not fucking up the next 6 months.

No issue with writing off the next 6 months with an interim provided those 6 months are spent properly planning for the future and getting the structure sorted for a new manager.

At least that cancer is gone and it won't be a moan-fest for the next 6 months. Might win a few games with players looking happy.

Well, I called it on Sunday!
Losing to the dippers was the last straw.
There are a lot of things wrong at the club since SAF left.
3 managers have not been able to get a handle on things whether we liked them or not.
I had every faith in Jose to be honest and am sorry things didn't work out.
It's a big job to sort out and I don't see Poch as the man to fix it either.
It is a worrying time,we could fall even further and it's a long way back to the top. Will the Glazers spend the billion or more that it will take?Thay refused to back Jose last summer after all.....

Here here! My only gripe is that this wasn't executed a month or so ago when the writing was already on the wall and we still had a league campaign to save.

Do you think he's gonna throw some awkward leaving party for the Lowry Hotel staff, like Alan Partridge? Laughing

Its 'Hear hear' FFS... "Hear this man, hear what he has to say".

Jose was miserable.
The players were miserable.
The football was miserable.
The fans were miserable.
The results were miserable.
We all knew it was coming.

Now lets get The legend that is Ole or Larry in charge until the end of the season and hopefully they can put the magic back into supporting this great club.

didn't Chelsea have DiMateo as caretaker manager when they won the champions league and FA Cup after sacking Villas Boas?
